Marigold pure and natural essential oil extracted from the fresh flowers of the plant through the process of steam distillation extraction method marigold oil is extracted by steam distillation. In order to get the oil from the flower the petals are steeped in olive oil. The oil left over when distillation is done is marigold oil which should be a golden orange colour.
