Tea bags are individually wrapped in foil/plastic packages. The black tea itself is pleasant, but rather strong (reminiscent of Assam varieties), so it can become oppressively tannic if over brewed. Controlled brew time solves that issue. If it were plain black tea sold at 10% of this price by weight, it would probably be a 4.5 star review.The problem is the saffron, which either due to the type or the insufficient quantity, is nearly imperceptible. I might be able to imagine some faint scent of saffron in the brewed tea... but I would never recognize in a blind tasting. The color is also nearly unchanged from that of regular tea. It might be perceived as slightly more yellow but again, it is not at all obvious.I previously used a different brand with incredible saffron aroma, saffron color, and saffron FLAVOR. I have not been able to locate that brand. I did not expect this brand to be the same quality, but the total lack of saffron in any sensory way renders this product completely unacceptable.
